PM Modi called Russian President Putin, congratulations on birthday; Learn and what happened?


Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with Russia President Vladimir Putin on telephone. PM Modi greeted Putin on his 73rd birthday and wished his good health and success in all efforts. During the conversation, the two leaders reviewed the progress of the ongoing bilateral agenda between India and Russia. He reiterated his resolve to further deepen mutual cooperation and partnership.

Prime Minister and President Putin committed to further strengthen the ‘special and privileged strategic partnership’ of India-Russia. Both countries emphasized the importance of advancing this partnership. PM Modi invited President Putin to visit India and expressed his desire to welcome him at the 23rd India-Russia annual summit. This conference will be an important opportunity to deepen relations between the two countries.

The current President of Russia Vladimir Putin was born on 7 October 1952 in Leningrad. During the Second World War, the city had struggled with the siege of Nazi Germany. This war gave many wounds to Vladimir Putin’s father Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin and mother Maria Ivanovna Shelomova.
