India is registering its strong presence in the rapidly changing technological world. A big step in this direction was seen when Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the India AI Impact Summit 2026 organized at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. During this, he expressed his views in detail on the future of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its impact and its correct use for humanity.

The Prime Minister said that we are living in an era where technology is changing very rapidly. Often when a big change starts, we have no idea of its real impact, just like the spark emanating from rubbing stones once gave a new direction to human civilization, in the same way today Artificial Intelligence can also prove to be a big change in history. What we are seeing now is just the beginning. Along with this, PM Modi gave MANAV mantra in AI Summit. So let us know what is this MANAV mantra and what is its full form.

What is MANAV Mantra?

During the AI Summit, the Prime Minister presented a new vision for AI, which he named MANAV. He said that in the era of AI, humans should not remain just data. Technology should be for humans, not humans for technology. The Prime Minister said that earlier it used to take several decades to see the impact of a new technology, but due to AI and machine learning, the change has now become much faster and deeper. This technology has the power to increase human capabilities manifold. However, he also warned that like every technology, the impact of AI can also be of two types. Just as nuclear energy brought development as well as destruction, similarly if AI goes in the right direction it will provide solutions, but if it goes in the wrong direction it can also create big problems.

What is the full form of MANAV Mantra?

1. M – Moral and Ethical System – AI should be based on moral values and ethical guidelines. It should be used properly and responsibly.

2. A – Accountable Governance – There should be a transparent and responsible governance system for AI. Its rules should be clear and accountability should be fixed.

3. N – National Sovereignty – The country to which the data belongs should have rights over it. Data security and digital sovereignty are extremely important.

4. A – Accessible and Inclusive – No one country or company should have a monopoly on AI. It should be accessible and inclusive for all, especially countries in the Global South,

5. V – Valid and Legitimate – The use of AI should be within the scope of law. It must be legitimate and reliable.
