Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said, “PM Modi and Donald Trump can be friends, may be good for each other, as they ask for votes for each other.” He claimed, ‘Modi and Trump have aligned at the cost of India. They have spoiled the atmosphere of the whole country.

Mallikarjun Kharge said on the impact of the tariff imposed by the US on India, ‘US President Donald Trump has imposed a huge tariff on India. In addition to 50 percent, he completely ruined our people after tariff. He stressed, ‘You walk on your ideology and protect the citizens of the country, because the nation comes first and your friendship comes after that.
Kharge requested Prime Minister Modi
Apart from this, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he should understand that India has been following the foreign policy of fairness and negotiations for the last several decades and it should continue to move forward in the same way.
GST Kharge said on changes in
On the changes in the Goods and Services Tax (GST) rates, Kharge said that the Congress will welcome any steps to benefit the poor, but he accused the BJP government of harassing people for years. He claimed, ‘We raised this issue eight years ago. We had said that if there were two slabs, then the poor people will benefit, but they introduced four to five slabs and looted the people. After the election approached, he faced some problems and amended the GST slab.
We are together on issues of national interest, but will not allow it to be arbitrary- Kharge
Kharge also mentioned Modi’s earlier claim that no one has entered the Indian territory from China and said that now Modi himself has entered China. The Congress president emphasized that the opposition is united on issues of national interest, but it will not allow Modi to misuse support. He said, ‘We are one in the case of the country. It doesn’t have any message. But this does not mean that because we are supporting you, you should work arbitrarily. We do not believe in this.
Trump is my friend, saying that he spoiled the situation of the country- Kharge
Kharge accused Modi of damaging India’s international reputation by openly tie up with Trump. He said, ‘He spoiled India’s situation by saying that Trump is my friend and then once Trump.’ Kharge said that if India had continued its non -aligned policy, which he has followed since independence, then such a situation would not have arisen.
