PM Modi reached Tamil Nadu after finishing foreign tour, said- Our weapons are sleeping for terrorists

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Tamil Nadu on Saturday (26 July 2025) after finishing the tour of Britain and Maldives. He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development projects worth more than Rs 4,900 crore in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. These projects include the new terminal, highway, port and railway development, and power transmission projects.

‘FTA shows the trust of the world on India’

After reaching Tamil Nadu, PM Modi said that it is my good fortune that after traveling for four days, I reached this holy land of Shri Ram. He said that during this tour, an agreement was reached between India and England on the historic free trade agreement. He said that the FTA reflects the trust of the world on India and the confidence of the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today we have also dedicated two major road projects to the people of Tamil Nadu. These roads constructed at a cost of about Rs 2,500 crore are going to connect two major development areas with Chennai. The connectivity of the Roothukudi port has also been much better.

‘Our weapons are sleeping for the bosses of terror’

PM Modi said, “Today, the Government of India has a lot of emphasis on Make in India and Mission Manufacturing. All of you have just seen the strength of Make in India during Operation Sindoor. Made in India weapons have played a big role in mixing the hideouts of terror. Weapons made in India are still sleepy.”

PM Modi said, “Today we are advancing the vision of Tamil Nadu and developed India developed by our efforts here. There has been a free trade agreement between Britain and India, it also gives momentum to this vision. This agreement will also give new strength to India’s economy, this will speed up our pace to become the world’s third big economy.”

‘Development of Tamil Nadu is a big priority for us’

PM Modi said, “The infrastructure and energy are the backbone of the development of any state. Our attention on infrastructure and energy in the last 11 years shows how big the development of Tamil Nadu is for us. All today’s projects will also make Tutukudi and Tamil Nadu a center of connectivity, clean energy and new opportunities.”
