He said that in terms of historical and engineering, two big bridge Chenab’s bridge and Anji bridge will also be inaugurated on Friday (June 6).
The dream of connecting Jammu and Kashmir to railway is fulfilled
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The big dream for decades, the dream of connecting Jammu and Kashmir to the railway line will be fulfilled. For this, two Vande Bharat Trains which have been specially designed.
Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Devotees of Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra will get great facility to visit Kashmir. The station of Jammu is being built in a separate format. To go on high altitude at Jammu station will use brizing technology used in many countries of the world to go on high altitude. Bridging will mean normal Altitude Eye will be in a vehicle.”
He said, “As in other countries of the world, the arrangement was done at Jammu railway station. Under this arrangement, two platforms will have two face-to-face vehicles and its correspondence will be seat-to-seat.”
Ashwini Vaishnav said, “The Vande India, which the Prime Minister will flag off, is from Srinagar to Jammu from Jammu. Because work is currently going on at Jammu railway station, which will be completed by September. In September, when platform number five and six will be ready at Jammu railway station, then this Vande Bharat will run from Jammu to Srinagar. This train will run from Katra.

According to the PMO, among the other projects which are to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister, the 272 km long Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project is. It is built at a cost of about Rs 43,780 crore and has 36 tunnels (extending up to 119 km) and 943 bridges. The project establishes uninterrupted rail connectivity between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country in every season, which aims to change the landscape of regional mobility and promote socio-economic integration.
