Earlier, UP CM Yogi Adityanath termed this film as spreading hatred in the society and gave instructions for action. After which a case has been registered against the film makers in Lucknow. Along with Brahmin organizations, many political parties have also expressed objection to the name of the film.
Seeing the controversy over the name of the film, director Neeraj Pandey has removed the teaser of the film from all platforms. And issued a statement saying that the film is not meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments.
