The Gen-Z perform on several social media platforms from Monday (September 08, 2025) in Nepal continues to perform a fierce performance. The protesters have taken out the former Nepal Deputy Prime Minister Rabi Lamichna from Nakku Jail on Tuesday afternoon.
Please tell that Ravi Lamichhane has been former Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of Nepal. In the month of October last year, he was arrested on charges of organized crime and rigging of cooperative funds. In August 2025, Ravi was transferred from Bhairahwa jail to Kathmandu Jail.
How was Ravi Lamichna’s career?
Ravi Lamichhane was the first popular TV host, whose show ‘Sidha Kura Janata Sanga’ (Sidhi Baat with the public) became very famous. The program focused on corruption and other social issues and made him popular among the public as ‘Voice of the Voiceless’.
In the year 2022, Ravi Lamichhane established the National Independent Party (RSP). The newly formed party became the fourth largest party in Parliament by winning 20 seats in the general elections this year. In December 2022, he was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister.
Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli resigns
KP Sharma Oli, who started in Nepal on Monday, has resigned from his post. His secretariat has approved the news. PM Oli has left the post amid violent performance. Since Monday, GEN-Z protesters and opposition leaders were demanding his resignation. Oli could remain in the post only 1 year and 2 months. He became PM for the third time on 15 July 2024.
The announcement was made when the protesters vandalized several important offices including the houses of the Parliament House, the houses of the leaders and also protested in other cities. The protesters became furious after action on Gen-Z’s protests on Monday.
