Before the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore (PK) has increased the political stir with his confident statement. He said that his party will either win less than 10 seats or more than 150, which means the result will either be very limited or historic.

Prashant Kishore said in NDTV’s Bihar Power Play Conclave program that the people of Bihar are disappointed for the last several decades. The people of the state are now looking for a strong alternative. According to PK, people are looking at Jan Suraj as an alternative, but they will have to take a leap of faith while voting. If the public shows confidence then the results will be shocking. Kishore admitted that this election would be a real test of public confidence in his movement.

I am not an X-factor: Prashant Kishor

When Prashant Kishore was asked why he himself did not contest the elections, Prashant Kishore clearly said that he never announced to contest the elections. He said, ‘I had said that if I contest elections, I will contest from Karghar, but the victory or defeat of the party does not depend on my election. I am not an X-factor, the real power is the people. He also said that the success of Jan Suraj Party will not be determined by any particular person but by the support of the people.

Bihar now needs third option: PK

Prashant Kishore said that till now the politics of Bihar has been limited between the two poles of Grand Alliance and NDA, but the public now wants change. According to him, about one-third of the voters are those who neither want the Grand Alliance nor the NDA. These voters can strengthen Jan Suraj in the coming times. He claimed that Jan Suraj Party is in a position to give a triangular contest on more than 160 seats and this election can change the direction of the politics of the state.

Jan Suraj Movement’s mission beyond politics: PK

Prashant Kishore said that Jan Suraj is not just a party but a social campaign for the reconstruction of Bihar. He said that its objective is not to gain power, but to improve the culture of governance, where education, health, employment and transparency are given priority. He reminded that in the last two years, he has visited almost every district of the state through Jan Suraj Padyatra and has closely understood the problems of the people.

All eyes on the results on November 14
