Prashant kishor on waqf bill: Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore has tightened the Central Government regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill 2025. Describing it as ‘unfortunate’, he said that it should not be seen as Hindu or anti -Muslim, but this bill is increasing the feeling of insecurity in the Muslim community.
Target on the government
Prashant Kishore said, “After independence, our constitution makers had given some commitments and assurances to various communities. In such a situation, it is the responsibility of this generation to respect those commitments. If the government is making any changes in them, which affects a community, then they should be taken into confidence first.”
It rained heavily on Nitish Kumar
Prashant Kishore also took a dig at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said that “the government does not have a majority in the Lok Sabha, but they are able to bring this law because leaders like Nitish Kumar are supporting him. If Nitish Kumar does not vote in favor of this bill, the government can never make it a law.”
Some leaders tell the well -wishers of Muslims
He further said that “BJP does not consider Muslims as its vote bank, but the leaders who call themselves the well -wishers of Muslims should think that they are not showing contradiction in their words and actions by supporting this bill?”

The role of leaders will be recorded in history
Prashant Kishore said that “When the history of this era is written, the responsibility of this law will be more than the BJP leaders who call themselves a follower of Gandhi, Lohia and Jayaprakash Narayan’s ideas, but still voting in support of this bill.”
What is Waqf Amendment Bill
Explain that the Central Government has introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill, which is aimed at streamlining the functions of the Waqf Board and making the management of Waqf properties transparent. This bill will amend the Waqf Act, 1995, so that the legal challenges faced in the administration of properties can be resolved. According to the government, this amendment will prevent illegal occupations, increase administrative transparency, and the accountability of the Waqf Board will be ensured. The government claims that this will make proper management of the properties of the Muslim community and will strengthen their welfare works.
