Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishore has announced that he will not contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. There was discussion that he can contest elections from Karghar or Raghopur but on behalf of Jan Suraj, the party has announced the candidates for both the seats. Now a reaction has come from RJD on this.

RJD leader and party spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari told ABP News on Wednesday (October 15, 2025), “All of them are like water bubbles in politics. The air has gone out. They had come to do social service, politics is not for everyone. Some people have come to know that there is a tsunami in the name of Tejashwi Yadav. Why will he contest the elections. He has already lost. Whatever they say, but they have run out of air.”

What has Prashant Kishore said?

Election strategist Prashant Kishore says that the party has decided that it is enough to do the work they already have. If he goes to contest the elections, the loss that will occur in two-four-five days may cause loss to many candidates of Jan Suraj. Those who are doing will continue to work.

Tejashwi Yadav is MLA from Raghopur

Please note that Tejashwi Yadav is the MLA from Raghopur seat. This time also Tejashwi Yadav will fight from here. It was believed that if Prashant Kishore contests from this seat then the contest will be worth watching, but Jan Suraj has given symbol to Chanchal Singh against Tejashwi Yadav from here. Bhojpuri singer Ritesh Pandey has been given ticket from Karghar. There was news of PK contesting the elections from both these seats but now not only the discussions have come to an end but Prashant Kishore himself has said that he will not contest the elections.
