Prashant Singh resigns after Alankar Agnihotri in UP, said- Insult of CM Yogi cannot be tolerated

The round of resignations of officers continues in Uttar Pradesh. Recently, Bareilly City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri had resigned regarding Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda, who was sitting on a dharna in the Magh Mela of Prayagraj, and UGC rules. Now another officer has left the job.

Deputy Commissioner of GST Department Prashant Kumar Singh has resigned in support of CM Yogi Adityanath. He has sent his two-page resignation letter to the Governor. In his statement, Prashant Kumar Singh said that he is taking this step in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He says that he was deeply hurt by the indecent remarks made by Shankaracharya on CM Yogi.

Gorakhpur BJP MLA calls UGC ‘villain’, says – ‘This is not Hitlershahi, Rowlatt Act’

He said, ‘I am in favor of the state from which I eat salt, the state from which I get my salary. CM Yogi is a democratically elected Chief Minister, I cannot tolerate his insult. He told that he was mentally distressed for the last three days. He also said that when his resignation is accepted, he will engage in social work with his personal resources.

Let us tell you that Prashant Singh wrote in his letter that – I am hurt by the indecent remarks made by Avimukteshwaranand Shankaracharya against the Uttar Pradesh government and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Prayagraj. Because I am an ordinary employee of Uttar Pradesh state. We get livelihood from the Uttar Pradesh government. With that livelihood, my family is raised, so my official duty is that if there is any unrestrained blabbering against our state government and the head of the government, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, then it should be opposed by following the Uttar Pradesh State Employees Manual. I consider the indecent remarks made by Avimukteshwarananda Shankaracharya against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as against the state, the Constitution and democracy. Therefore, in such a situation, I am submitting my resignation in favor of the government and against Avimukteshwaranand Shankaracharya.
