Police took major action on Saturday (8 November) in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh. Police recovered a cache of currency notes along with ganja smack from the drug mafia. During the raid at the smuggler’s house, Rs 2 crore cash was also found, machines were called to count it. The notes were counted 24 hours a day by dozens of policemen along with machines.

Police officers and personnel were left sweating in this major action. Information has come to light that this black money business was being run from the jail. Police and Narcotics Department raided the house of a drug smuggler and found 6 kg ganja, 577 grams of smack along with Rs 2 crore 1 lakh 55 thousand 345 in cash.

With this, the police sent 5 people including two women behind the bars. After completion of the action taken in Mundipur of Manikpur police station, SP Deepak Bhukar has made a big revelation.

Narcotics Department and Pratapgarh Police raided the house of drug smuggler Rajesh Mishra, resident of Mundipur village of Raja Bhaiya’s stronghold Manikpur police station in Pratapgarh district, at 8:00 am on Saturday morning and recovered ganja worth Rs 303750, 577 grams of smack worth Rs 11 lakh 54 thousand and Rs 2 crore 1 lakh 55 thousand 345 in cash.

In this case, Rajesh Mishra’s wife Reena Mishra, son Vinayak Mishra, daughter Komal Mishra along with neighbors Yash Mishra and Ajit Mishra were arrested. Disclosing this action, SP Deepak Bhukar did this in a press conference held at SAI Complex located on Police Lines.

SP said that police action is going on continuously against drug smugglers. Just a few days ago, movable and immovable property worth more than Rs 3 crore 6 lakh, illegally earned by smuggler Rajesh Mishra, was attached.

In this, Rajesh Mishra and his wife Reena Mishra were also continuously supporting him in this business, she was also arrested and sent to jail. Action has been taken against both of them under gangster section. Gangster Reena Mishra had reached her home after being released from jail 25 days ago. After this she again got involved in this black business.

On the accurate information of the informer, the police conducted a raid and recovered cash and drugs. The counting of notes continued for 24 hours and now the information has been given to the Income Tax Department. Legal action is underway in the matter. A total of more than 14 cases are registered against gangsters and smugglers in different police stations, the police has announced a reward of Rs 50,000 for the team that reveals the information.
