Praveen khandelwal news: Praveen Khandelwal, MP from Chandni Chowk in Delhi, has written a letter to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Sunday demanding a change of name of New Delhi railway station to Atal Bihari Vajpayee railway station.
He has described it as an important and emotional initiative to immortalize the memory of Bharat Ratna Atalji in the nation’s capital. On the other hand, on the other hand, MP Praveen Khandelwal has been requested to name Old Delhi railway station as Maharaja Agrasen railway station.
CM Rekha Gupta also made the same demand
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also recently supported the name of Delhi Junction to name Maharaja Agrasen railway station. Praveen Khandelwal said that he will soon meet Railway Minister Vaishnav in this regard and will also raise this subject in Parliament in the next session of Parliament.
Khandelwal said in his letter sent to Railway Minister Vaishnav that New Delhi railway station is the most prominent, busiest and historic railway station in the country, which acts as the entrance to the capital. It will not only be appropriate to be named after a great leader like Atalji, but will also respect the feelings of the citizens of Delhi and the country.
He said that Atalji’s life was dedicated to national service, democratic values, and inclusive development. During his tenure, India achieved historical achievements in the fields of Buniadi structures, nuclear power, global identity and economy. He gave direction to the whole country as not only a politician, but an idea, a poet, and a inspiring personality.
