Prithvi shaw new team: India’s star cricketer Prithvi Shaw will now be seen playing with another team. Prithvi will play for the Maharashtra team in 2025-26 season of Indian domestic cricket, before he used to play for the Mumbai team. He has been running out of Team India for almost 4 years and last year he was dropped from the Mumbai team citing poor fitness. After the drop, he demanded NOC from the Mumbai team, on which the Mumbai Cricket Association has approved him.
On Monday, July 7, the Maharashtra Cricket Association released the statement, which has been confirmed that Prithvi Shaw will now play for the Maharashtra team. Let us tell you that top players like Rituraj Gaikwad and Rahul Tripathi play only for Maharashtra team in domestic cricket.
What did Prithvi Shaw say
Regarding joining the Maharashtra team, Prithvi Shaw said, “At this stage of his career, I feel that I will help me to get better as a cricketer by coming to Maharashtra team. All the opportunities I get in the past years and I thank for the support of MCA. The Maharashtra Cricket Association has also taken concrete steps to promote cricket in the state in previous years.”
