Himachal Pradesh Buses: After Mohali in Punjab, now some unknown people broke the windshields of four buses of Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) at the bus stand in Amritsar on Saturday (March 22).

According to the police, slogans were also written on buses in support of Khalistan. This bus was standing in a bus stand parking here and no one was present at the time of the incident. Police said that the matter is being investigated.

The incident has happened before

A few days ago, two unknown persons also damaged the windshield and some windows of a bus from HRTC in Kharar of Mohali. After the incident of sabotage, Himachal Pradesh Pradesh government had banned the operation of 10 bus routes on Hoshiarpur border.

How did the controversy start?

Prior to these incidents, some local people in Himachal Pradesh recently took off the flags of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale from the motorcycles of a group of youth from Punjab, after which the controversy arose.

To express their anger, activists of Dal Khalsa and ‘Sikh Youth of Punjab’ pasted the picture of Bhindranwale on HRTC buses as well as some private buses in Hoshiarpur.

The issue raised in the assembly

After the Mohali incident, Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, raised the matter in the House and said that pro -Khalistan supporters from Punjab are trying to spoil the atmosphere in Himachal.
