Profit fell, yet the company is in a mood to waste money on investors, ITC announced dividend

Dividend Alert: FMCG sector giant ITC Limited recorded a net profit of Rs 5,087.87 crore in the October-December quarter of the business year 2025-26. This is 6.4 percent more than Rs 5,436.3 crore in the same quarter last year, while it has declined by 3.3 percent compared to the second quarter.

In the information given in the stock filing on January 29, the company also said that its revenue from operations increased by 6.66 percent to Rs 21,706.64 crore in the third quarter, which was Rs 20,349.96 crore in the same period last year. Revenue in the second quarter from July to September was Rs 21,255.86 crore.

Company announced dividend

Despite the decline in profit in the third quarter as compared to the second quarter, the company has announced an interim dividend of Rs 6.5 on every common share of Re 1. The company said, “A final dividend of Rs 6.50 is being declared on every ordinary share of Re 1 for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. This dividend will be given between Thursday, February 26, 2026 and Saturday, February 28, 2026 to those members of the company who are entitled to it.

Know when is the record date?

The company has fixed February 4, 2026 as the record date for dividend. This means that the shareholders who hold shares of the company till this date will get the benefit of dividend. ITC has been continuously giving the gift of dividend to its investors. In the year 2025, it gave dividend of Rs 7.85 twice in May and Rs 6.50 in February. In 2024 also, the company had given dividend of Rs 7.5 twice – in June and Rs 6.25 in February.
