An extortion money of Rs 50 lakh was also demanded from Himanshu, a cloth merchant in Ludhiana’s Civil City, through Shubham Grover.
Three shooters arrested, investigation into criminal records continues
Three shooters, who opened fire at a cloth merchant’s shop when he did not pay extortion money, are now in police custody. Two shooters were seriously injured in the police encounter, while one was caught by the police during the encounter. Police have arrested Sumit alias Altron alias Tunda, Sanju and Sumit. Sanju and Sumit were injured due to bullet injuries in the encounter.

Police had caught Sumit alias Tunda during the encounter. The police have taken him to the station and now he is being interrogated. Police is trying to collect information about Mahinder Dhalana through Sumit Tunda. The other accused are still seriously injured and cannot be interrogated at this time.
Police arrested three shooters
Of the three shooters arrested by the police, two are 19 years old and one is 21 years old. According to the police, Sumit alias Tunda is a resident of New Prem Nagar Backside Employment Garden Ghumarmandi and his age is 21 years. The second Sanju Phullanwal is a resident of Gas Agency Tanki Mohalla and his age is 19 years. The third Sumit Kumar is a resident of Dugri LIG flat and his age is also 19 years.
According to the police, FIRs related to attempt to murder, robbery, robbery and drug smuggling have been registered against these accused. At present the police is investigating the criminal records of the accused.
