Punjab-Haryana Weather News: In most parts of Punjab and Haryana, on the previous day i.e. on Thursday (May 15), the scorching heat increased people’s problems. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Bathinda, Punjab was recorded at 43.5 degrees Celsius, which was the highest in the entire state.

The temperature is continuously increasing in other cities of Punjab (Punjab). Amritsar recorded a maximum temperature of 41.2 degrees, 41.8 degrees in Ludhiana and 41.4 degrees Celsius in Patiala. The temperature of Gurdaspur reached 41 degrees and mercury in Mohali reached 40.2 degrees Celsius.

Earth of Haryana also up to 43 degrees
The heat has wreaked havoc in Haryana too. The temperature in Rohtak reached 43 degrees, which was included in the warm places of the state. Both Hisar and Narnaul had a temperature of 42.5 degrees Celsius, while the mercury in Ambala climbed 42.2 degrees and in Bhiwani to 42.7 degrees. Karnal was also in the grip of heat, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40.6 degrees.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of both the states, also saw the effect of heat, where the temperature reached 41.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday (15 May).

Avoid getting out in the sun, keep drinking water- IMD
The Meteorological Department said that the temperature may increase further in the coming days. In such a situation, people have been advised to avoid getting out in the sun and drink sufficient amount of water. Experts believe that it is normal for the temperature to reach this level in May, but life can be affected by excessive heat for several consecutive days. Farmers and laborers have been advised to take special precautions.

Can change schools time
Due to this intense heat, there is a possibility of change in time in schools, while the Health Department has issued guidelines to protect against heat. There is no possibility of rain in the area at present, due to which there is less hope of getting relief from the heat.
