A painful road accident in Jalandhar’s Model Town area late on Saturday (13 September) shook everyone. In this accident, Richie KP, a senior leader of the Akali Dal and former Punjab Education Minister Mohinder Singh KP, died. The accident was so terrible that 4 vehicles collided on the spot. After the accident, there was chaos in the entire area.
According to the information, the accident took place between 10 and a half to 11 pm. Richie KP was going towards Mata Rani Chowk of Model Town from his car Fortuner. Meanwhile, suddenly a white colored Creta car coming from the front hit a strong hit. After this, the Creta collided with a Grand Vitara and collided with another car parked near Grand Vitara. The collision was so tremendous that the vehicles were badly damaged.
CCTV footage has also surfaced, in which it is clear how the Creta car comes fast and collides between Fortuner and Grand Vitara. The Creta driver escaped from the spot after the accident.
Despite being taken to the hospital, life is not left
Richie KP suffered serious injuries in the accident, especially his head. As soon as the news of the accident reached home, Mohinder Singh KP and his family reached the spot. Richie was taken to the hospital with the help of the people present there. But the doctors declared him dead after investigation.
Amrik Singh, a relative of the family, said that Richie had given information about the accident by calling his servant Hari himself. Soon after, the family reached the spot. Amrik Singh says that after the accident, the police did not reach the spot on time and the SHO of the police station 6 reached his house around two and a half hours after a delay of about 4 hours.
After receiving information about the incident, the police also became active. DCP Naresh Dogra himself arrived to take stock of the crime scene. He told that four vehicles had collided with each other in this accident. Three trains have been seized, while the fourth Creta car is being searched.
The DCP said that the husband and wife riding in the Grand Vitara were seriously injured in the accident, while Richie KP died. The police have registered a case and started investigation and strict action will be taken against whoever is guilty.
Weeds in family, funeral delay
After this accident, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the whole family. Richie’s sister and other close relatives are currently abroad. The family says that the funeral will be performed only after the return of relatives. Mohinder Singh KP, who himself is a big political and social face, is very sad from the accident.
This accident has shocked not only the KP family, but the entire Jalandhar city. People are constantly worrying about the deaths in road accidents. Local people say that in the model town area, trains run at a high speed late night, which increases the risk of accident. It was also seen in CCTV that Creta was coming at a high speed.
