Punjab News: An important news is coming out for the students in the schools of Punjab during winter holidays. The State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab will conduct a joint entrance examination for admission to classes 9th and 11th in Schools of Eminence and Meritorious Schools for the academic session 2026-27. The online registration process for this examination will continue from January 3 to January 20, 2026.
Admission will be given in class 9th and 11th
Giving information, District Education Officer, Secondary Education, Neelam Rani said that there are three schools of eminence in Mansa district: Mansa, Boha and Sardulgarh. He further said that students currently studying in class 8th and 10th in government, semi-government and private schools of Punjab are eligible for this examination. Successful candidates will be given admission in class 9th and 11th in the academic session 2026-27.
Registration will be done through online portal
Deputy District Education Officer, Secondary Education, Dr. Paramjit Singh Bhogal said that the registration process will be done through an online portal. It will be mandatory to give details of current class while filling the application. Students associated with Punjab School Education Board will enter their roll number and student ID online, which will automatically fill their data.
Students of other boards will have to enter their information themselves. After confirming the required details, the registration slip can be downloaded. Without OTP number, the application will be considered incomplete. Students and parents are requested to apply before the due date.
