Punjab Kings vs Chennai Super Kings 1st Innings Highlights: In Mullanpur, Punjab Kings washed the bowlers of Chennai Super Kings fiercely. For Punjab, young Priyansh Arya played an explosive innings of 103 runs in 42 balls. 7 fours and 9 sixes came out of his bat. Shashank Singh returned unbeaten for 52 off 36 balls and Marco Yansen for 34 runs in 19 balls. Both shared 65 runs in 38 balls for the seventh wicket. Due to these three, Punjab Kings scored 219 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs.
Interestingly, all the veterans of Punjab Kings were flops. Nevertheless, the team scored more than 200. Prabhasimran Singh (00), captain Shreyas Iyer (09), Glenn Maxwell (01), Marcus Stoinis (04) and Nehal Vadhera (09) also did not reach the double digit.
