Amidst Bihar elections, Lok Sabha MP from Purnia Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav has again created a political stir with his frank statement. Pappu Yadav not only made a big statement about the difficulties of becoming an independent MP, but also raised sharp questions on RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of providing employment.
During the election environment, Pappu Yadav said during an interview given to ABP News, “Becoming an independent MP is not the status of even God’s father. Just imagine, how difficult it is to stand out among the public alone without any big party or alliance.”
On Rahul Gandhi’s reaction on Tejashwi Yadav’s promise of giving him a job, Pappu Yadav said, “Congress leader Rahul Gandhi did not say such a thing.”
Pappu Yadav further said that when Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised Rs 15 lakh and two crore jobs, it was later termed as a “jumla”. He taunted and said, “When he said 15 lakh, two crore jobs and fake notes and money were being brought from Swiss banks, he called it a catchphrase. When Amit Shah said that it was my catchphrase, then were dollar, demonetization, share market, GST, bullet train, steel, startup all these catchphrases?”
‘If Tejashwi promises, he will fulfill it’
However, Pappu Yadav also said that if Tejashwi Yadav has taken any decision to give him a job, then he is capable of fulfilling it. He said, “If Tejashwi has taken any decision, he will definitely fulfill it. He did not talk about 3 crore, 2 crore jobs like Modi ji. Our leader has said that it will take 3 years from two years, we will make Bihar number one and talk about employment.”
These statements of Pappu Yadav have sparked a new debate in the politics of Bihar. On one hand, he described himself as the true representative of the people, while on the other hand, he heated up the political atmosphere by comparing the promises of both Tejashwi Yadav and Modi.
