‘Pushed Odisha 10 years back’, Mohan Manjhi government canceled the contract of Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project, new Patnaik provoked

Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik strongly criticized the BJP government for canceling the tender of the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project launched during his tenure. He said that the government with double engine has taken such a step and betrayed the people, which will leave the city 10 years back.

Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik posted on social media and targeted the Manjhi government for canceling the contract with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). He said that I am shocked to know that the BJP -led Odisha government has canceled the contracts of Bhubaneswar Metro Rail.

Bhubaneswar becomes world class city: Naveen Patnaik

Patnaik said that it has always been our dream to make Bhubaneswar a world -class city. We were focusing on world -class sports infrastructure. Major international programs were organizing and also developing an IT mechanism to convert this city of temples into a world -class city.

The former CM claimed that the Bhubaneswar Metro project would change the methods of city movement as public transport bus service, mobile and other connectivity in the capital would complement urban transport. He also said that metro service will also reduce congestion inside the city.

Double engine government cheated people: Naveen Patnaik

Patnaik said that his government had set a certain time limit to complete the first phase of the project in 2027. He said that the government with double engine has betrayed the people of Odisha by canceling an important project like metro rail. This shocking decision of the government with double engine will push the city back 10 years.
