Russia news: On the one hand, from America to India, it is trying to stop the Russia-Ukraine war, on the other hand, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has taken such a decision about his army which has increased the concern of the world again. In fact, Russian President Putin has decided to recruit the most military recruitment in the last 14 years. It is believed that Putin has taken this decision in view of the ongoing war and expansion of NATO with Ukraine.
Putin has decided to include 1 lakh 60 thousand youths of 18 to 30 years in the army. This recruitment will be in the next three years and it is the biggest recruitment since 2011. It is believed that Putin has taken this decision in view of Ukraine War and NATO expansion, although Russia says that new soldiers will not be sent to Ukraine.
‘Army should have a total of 23.9 lakh soldiers’
According to the BBC report, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that there should be a total of 23.9 lakh soldiers in the Russian army, which includes 15 lakh active soldiers. To achieve this goal, 1.8 lakh more soldiers will be recruited in the next three years. This statement comes at a time when America is trying to stop Ukraine War and Donald Trump has discussed with Putin in this matter.
Callup notice issued
Every year new soldiers are recruited in Russia in spring and autumn. This time 1.6 lakh youth have been called to join the army, which is 10,000 more than 2024. Last year, the age limit of recruitment was increased from 27 to 30. Notices are being sent by post to the youth and callup notices have also been issued on Mos.ru website on 1 April.
Many youths in Russia are looking for other options to avoid recruitment in the army. According to Human Rights Advocate Timoff Vaskin, every recruitment has become like a lottery after the war begins. Officers are adopting different ways to recruit new soldiers. Russia recruits soldiers twice every year and apart from this, many people have also been included in the army on contract.
