32 -year -old wicketkeeper batsman Quinton Dickock has withdrawn the decision of retirement from ODI and T20 International. Dickock retired from ODI after the 2023 ODI World Cup and from T20 International after the 2024 T20 World Cup. However, now he has taken a U-turn on his retirement decision. Dickock will once again be seen playing ODI and T20 International for South Africa. However, he is not taking back retirement from the test.

Dickock played his last match in the white ball format in the T20 World Cup in Barbados in 2024. This left -arm opener retired from ODI cricket after the 2023 World Cup, after which the then coach Rob Walter did not include him in the T20 team, as he was not sure about his long -term plans.

Now Quinton Dickock has been included in South Africa’s T20 and ODI teams. The current head coach of South Africa Shakuri Conrad, after discussing with this player, has included him in both the teams of limited overs.

Conrad said, “Dickock’s return to limited overs cricket is going to boost morale for us. When we talked about their future last month, it was clear that they still have a strong desire to represent the country. Everyone knows what quality they bring in the team and their coming back will be beneficial for the team.”

Dickock has so far scored 6770 runs in 155 ODIs at an average of 45.74 and a strike rate of 96.64. Dickock has been selected in the South African team for the ODI series against Pakistan. At the same time, he has also been selected in the South African team in the T20 International Series. He has 2584 runs in 92 T20 International matches.
