There was an outcry on Sunday night on the Ganga Expressway under construction in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh. When an uncontrolled car hit eight girls, four of them died. While the condition of the rest remains critical. All of them were going home on foot with Bhandara Prasad. The accident occurred near Sultanpur Janauli village of Jagatpur police station area, when the residents of Kodar village were returning from a community feast organized in Chuli village.

According to the police, these people were passing through the expressway when a speeding vehicle coming from behind hit them. The car driver fled from the spot, efforts are being made to arrest him.

Two died on the spot and two in the hospital.

Among those injured in the accident on the under-construction expressway, two women named Himanshi (23) and Shalini (22) died on the spot, while the injured were taken to the district hospital, where Rashmi (14) and Asma (22) later died. So Riya Patel (14), Priya Patel (12), Sadhana (nine), Meena (22) and Reshma (14) have been injured. Who have been taken to the district hospital.

On getting information about the incident, District Magistrate Harshita Mathur and Superintendent of Police Ravi Kumar reached the district hospital and gave instructions for better treatment of the injured. Superintendent of Police said, “This accident occurred due to a speeding car on the under-construction Ganga Expressway. Four people have died and four others have been injured. The vehicle has been seized and efforts are on to arrest the driver.

After the incident, there has been an uproar among the family members, along with this, there is also discussion at the local level about the great negligence on the expressway, how can vehicles be allowed when the construction is still going on. Also, there is no arrangement to stop pedestrians.
