Under-19 One-day Tri-Series: The fifth match of the Under-19 triangular series between India B Under-19 team and Afghanistan Under-19 team was played in Bengaluru. In which India B team defeated Afghanistan Under-19 team by 2 wickets in a thrilling match and India won the match with 11 balls to spare. Batting first, Afghanistan team was able to score 202 runs in 50 overs. on this difficult wicket Achieving the target was not easy but Vedant Trivedi scored 83 runs and BK Kishore scored 29 not out to help India-B Under 19 team win.
Rahul Dravid’s son Anvay failed
In this match, Anvay Dravid, son of former veteran batsman Rahul Dravid, proved to be a flop and he returned to the pavilion on a golden duck. BK Kishore was the hero of the victory against Afghanistan Under-19, who apart from scoring unbeaten 29 runs, performed brilliantly in bowling and took 3 wickets for just 19 runs in 10 overs. Due to this brilliant performance, Kishore was chosen player of the match. India B team got its first win in the Under-19 ODI triangular series and is at the bottom of the points table.
How did India B Under-19 team win?
India B Under 19 team came on the field to chase the target of 203 runs but the team did not have a good start. Opener Yuvraj Gohil returned to the pavilion after scoring only 3 runs. After this, a good partnership between captain Aaron George and Vedant Trivedi took the team to 90 runs. However, India B team started faltering from the 23rd over. Because Nazifullah Amiri first bowled Aaron George and then sent Anvay Dravid back to the pavilion for a golden duck. The condition of India B became worse when Rahul Kumar was out in the very next over. By the time it reached 90 to 115 runs, India B team lost 6 wickets and the team was in danger of defeat, but after this there was a half-century partnership between Vedant and BK Kishore, which led to a thrilling victory against Afghanistan.
