A tragic accident occurred on 7 September in Raisen district of Madhya Pradesh. A bus going from Sagar to Bhopal suddenly took a turn in an attempt to save the cow and during this time crushed the woman sitting on the road and her 12 -day -old daughter. Both died on the spot. After the accident, the bus driver escaped and the villagers vandalized the vehicle in anger.
How did the accident happen?
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Rekha Bai and her daughter Devi. The incident took place near a petrol pump in Nakatara village, about 15 km from the district headquarters. At that time Rekha Bai was sitting outside the house with her newborn daughter. Then the bus going from Sagar towards Bhopal turned fast to save the cow and collided with a motorcycle passing by. During this time the balance of the bus deteriorated and he crushed the woman and the girl.
After the accident, chaos
The motorcycle rider also fell due to the bus being hit, but he only suffered minor injuries. There was a scream and chaos on the spot. On seeing this, the villagers gathered in large numbers and started vandalizing the bus in anger. Seeing the situation worsening, the police force immediately reached the spot from Nakatara Chowki and Devanagar police station and controlled the crowd. According to officials, after the incident, the accused bus driver Chhotu Kushwaha, who is a resident of Sagar, escaped from the spot.
Police in search of absconding accused
Sub -Divisional Officer Police (SDOP) Alok Srivastava said that an FIR has been registered immediately in view of the seriousness of the case. According to PTI reports, teams have been put up in search of the absconding accused driver and will be arrested soon. The officials have appealed to the villagers to maintain peace. At the same time, there is an atmosphere of mourning in the village due to the death of the deceased and his daughter.
