Raj Thackeray’s party becomes aggressive

MNS workers torn Hindi books

What did CM Devendra Fadnavis say?
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has reacted to this, saying that, we all make English awards and despise Indian languages, this is not right. I have talked to Raj Thackeray, he said that there should be only two languages and do not impose a third language. I told him that the central government has brought 3 language policy across the country with proper discussions in the National Education Policy. NEP is for the whole country and Maharashtra cannot adopt two language policy. Tamil Nadu had gone to court against 3 language policy, which the court also did not accept. While learning his regional language, if a student learns an additional language, what is wrong with this? Additional language will help in increasing their knowledge. NEP was brought after extensive discussion with experts.
CM further said that we have removed the condition of making Hindi language mandatory as the third language in the new GR. Now you will be able to choose any Indian language as a third language. 3 language policy is according to NEP. If about 20 students are available to learn a particular Indian language, then the teacher will be made available or it can also be taught online. I only want to say one thing that we all praise the English language and disrespect Indian languages, it is not right. Indian languages are much better than English.
