Pakistani youtuber rajab butt: Pakistani YouTuber Rajab Butt is currently engulfed in serious controversies despite his popularity. Actually, the root of this dispute is his new perfume brand, after launching, there has been anger among religious organizations. The matter is also related to Indian singer Sidhu Mosewala.
Why was the blasphemy accused?
A case has been registered on Rajab Butt under blasphemy and cyber crime laws. It is alleged that his perfume brand made fun of Pakistan’s blasphemy law. However, there is no direct charge of disregarding religious beliefs.
What is 295 dispute?
Rajab Butt named his perfume “295”, which is associated with Section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). This section refers to blasphemy laws. In the video, he said that his “Guru” Sidhu Mosewala was also accused under the same section.
Hardlineer clerics raised strong objections to this.
Tehreek-e-Labback Pakistan (TLP) leader Hyder Ali Shah Geelani lodged an FIR in the Lahore Police. He was booked under Section 295-A (insulting religious beliefs) and section 11 (hate speech) of PECA 2016.
What is the connection with Sidhu Mosewala?
In a video of Rajab Butt, he shows the bottle of perfume and says, “This has come 295 Mains, this has come 295 women … My master was the same. The same time was on me. The same time is on me. My master’s head was 295, my heads were on my head-295-A, 295- C.” In this video, he calls Sidhu Mosewala a “Ustad”.

Sidhu Mosewala released the song “295” before the murder. In the song, he placed Section 295 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the center. TLP leader Hyder Ali Shah Geelani said that Rajab Butt has hurt religious sentiments and violated the blasphemy laws.
