Illegal mining once again took the life of an innocent child in Dholpur district of Rajasthan. A speeding tractor trolley filled with soil crushed a 6-year-old girl playing outside the house in Mohan Colony of Nihalganj police station area. The accident was so painful that both the wheels of the tractor passed over the girl and she died on the spot.
According to the information received, 6 year old daughter Zoya of Firoz, resident of Mohan Colony, was playing outside the house with one of her friends. Meanwhile, a tractor filled with soil came at high speed from the street and hit the girl and ran over her. The other girl narrowly escaped, but Zoya died on the spot.
It is being told that the girl’s father works as a laborer in Delhi. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was chaos in the family. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the entire area.
Fast tractors pass by every day
Local people say that every day tractors filled with illegal soil pass at high speed through the streets of the colony. Many times this was explained to the tractor drivers, but they did not agree. When explained otherwise, they start abusing.
After the accident, people had caught the tractor driver, but it is alleged that his companions reached the spot with illegal weapons and rescued him. After this, the people of the colony got angry and created a ruckus.
Police took charge
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot. CO Krishnaraj Jangid said that as soon as the information was received, the DST team, Nihalganj, Kotwali and Sadar police station had reached the spot. The police pacified the people by convincing them.
The body of the innocent girl has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Police have seized the tractor trolley and identified the accused. The matter is being investigated and strict legal action will be taken against the culprits.
At present there is an atmosphere of sorrow and anger in the entire area. People are demanding a ban on illegal mining and unruly tractor drivers, so that such painful incidents do not happen again in future.
