Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the state budget in the Assembly on Wednesday (February 11). In the budget speech, many big announcements were made for farmers, women, youth, employees, school students. Many schemes including drinking water facilities, infrastructure, solar park have been mentioned in the budget. Female heads of eligible families of Sahariya and Katori tribes will be given Rs 1200 per month.

Big things about budget
- Announcement of recruitment of 3 thousand contract technical employees in the water supply department.
- A new water policy will be brought in Rajasthan.
- Under CM Jal Jeevan Mission, 6500 villages will be connected with tap water to every house, Rs 4500 crore will be spent on this.
- Rs 2300 crore will be spent for drinking water facilities in cities.
- Next year 3 lakh new drinking water connections will be given.
- Rs 750 crore will be spent to provide 24 hours water in Deshnoke.
- Rs 650 crore will be spent to provide water from Bisalpur scheme to 1092 villages.
- 600 tube wells will be installed for adequate drinking water in summer.
- Every collector will be given Rs 1 crore for summer contingency.
- A Center of Excellence on water will be opened in Jaipur at a cost of Rs 10 crore.
- Mobile water testing lab will be started.
- In the infrastructure sector, new roads and bridges will be built at a cost of Rs 1800 crore.
- Next year 15 new railway over bridges and under bridges will be built.
- Rs 1400 crore will be spent on non-patchable roads and Rs 600 crore will be spent on missing link roads.
- Work worth Rs 500 crore of 250 Atal Pragati Path will start next year.
- Provision of Rs 500 crore for repairing roads damaged by rain.
- To prevent accidents, 2 thousand cameras will be installed across the state at a cost of Rs 100 crore.
- Expenditure of more than Rs 2300 crore including flyovers, underpasses and parking related works on all divisional roads, Jaipur.
- In the energy sector, Rs 2950 crore was spent on two new solar parks in Bikaner and Jaisalmer.
- Six new GSSs of 220 KV, 13 of 132 KV and 110 of 33 KV will be built.
- Ajmer Discom Center will be connected to AI for real time monitoring of the power system.
- Capital expenditure of Rs 3427 crore on infrastructure, highest till date.
- Development of a total of 42 thousand kilometers of roads by adding 16,430 kilometers of new roads.
- 41.39 percent growth in the state’s economy, estimated to exceed Rs 21 lakh crore in 2026–27.
- Fire detection systems will be installed in all the hospitals of the state as per requirement.
- Rs 300 crore will be spent on fire safety equipment in the first phase.
- State-of-the-art rest rooms will be built in the main hospitals of the medical colleges of Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, Kota and Jodhpur.
- Construction at a cost of Rs 500 crore for the accommodation of patients and family members.
- Atal Arogya Food Courts will be established in hospitals attached to medical colleges.
- Providing nutritious food to patients, staff and students at reasonable rates. Rs 100 crore will be spent on this.
- Development work will be done for infrastructure in Ayurvedic hospitals.
- Free Moksh Vahini service will be started to transport the mortal remains of those killed in the accident from the mortuary to their homes.
- Emphasis on women empowerment and financial inclusion.
- More than 16 lakh women were brought into the Lakhpati Didi category.
- Rural women BPOs will be established at the district level. Rs 100 crore will be spent.
- Loan limit under Lakhpati Didi Yojana increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
- Under the Chief Minister Nari Shakti Protsahan Yojana, the loan limit of women self-help groups has been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore.

- Construction of 11000 Amrit Poshan Vatikas in all the Gram Panchayats of the state.
- Emphasis on providing local fruits and vegetables for mid-day meal. Approximately Rs 500 crores spent.
- 600 tube wells will be installed for availability of drinking water in summer.
- Rs 1 crore to each collector for summer contingency.
- Rajasthan State Early Childhood Care and Development Policy will be made for children up to 6 years of age.
- Related training to Anganwadi workers.
- 1000 Anganwadi workers will be honored for their excellent work.
