A serious and shocking incident related to the case of abduction of a minor girl has come to light in Chhayan village of Pokhran area. It is alleged that anti-social elements set fire to the house of the accused youth, due to which goods worth lakhs of rupees kept in the house were burnt to ashes. Since the incident, the victim’s family is living in an atmosphere of fear and pleading for justice.
Fire broke out after Panchayat of Panchayats
The victim, Revatnath, son of Bhootnath, told in the complaint given to the Additional Superintendent of Police that on Tuesday (January 13), a Panchayat of Panchas was held in the village. After the Panchayat, some people set his house on fire at night.
The fire was so severe that the grains, clothes, utensils and other essential items kept in the house were completely burnt. On receiving the information, police and fire brigade team reached the spot, but by then a lot of damage had already been done.
Allegation of no arrest
The victim’s family says that they had already lodged a report at Ramdevra police station, but till now no named accused has been arrested. There is both resentment and fear in the family regarding this matter. The family has demanded from the administration that strictest action should be taken against the people involved in the case.
On this matter, Additional Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar said that the report of the incident has been registered on Tuesday night. Some suspicious people have been detained and their interrogation is going on. Police say that after investigating all the facts, further action will be taken and the culprits will not be spared.
Accused in jail, yet house burnt
The thing to note is that the accused youth is currently in judicial custody in this case related to love affair. Despite this, the incident of setting fire to his house after the decision of the judges is raising many questions. After all, when the accused was in jail, why was the family punished? This remains a major subject of police investigation.
Let us tell you that on December 18, the girl’s side had filed a case under the POCSO Act against a youth from the same village. The allegation was that the young man had abducted the minor girl. However, the girl returned to her home the same day.
The youth remained absconding for three days, after which the police arrested him. At present he is in judicial custody. Now this arson has made the whole matter more serious, due to which there is an atmosphere of tension in the village.
