Rajasthan: Vasundhara Raje’s credibility at stake in Anta by-election? Know the complete political equation

The reputation of BJP and Congress is at stake in the Anta assembly by-election of Rajasthan. The prestige of BJP’s national vice president and former Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje is at stake on this seat. At the same time, the Congress party has once again placed its bet on Pramod Jain Bhaya, who was a minister in the Gehlot government. However, independent candidate Naresh Meena has made the contest triangular. Voting for the by-election here will be held on November 11.

Anta assembly seat is under the influence of former CM Vasundhara Raje. She has been an MP from here and currently her son Dushyant is an MP from here. BJP has made Morpal Suman, the village head who runs a grocery shop and does politics in the region, as its candidate on the basis of Vasundhara Raje’s choice. Due to the issue of nose, Vasundhara Raje has camped here with her core committee and supporters.

Congress bets on former minister Pramod Jain Bhaya

At the same time, the Congress party has once again placed its bet on Pramod Jain Bhaya, a two-time MLA from here and a minister in the Gehlot government. While Morpal Suman has a clean and simple image, Congress’s Pramod Jain Bhaya has done the work while being an MLA and minister in this very backward area and has been active among the people, that is his strength and identity.

Youth leader Naresh Meena made the contest triangular

However, the entry of independent candidate Naresh Meena has made Anta’s contest triangular. Naresh Meena is very popular among the youth and he is getting full support from the Meena community. Naresh Meena is seen making a big dent in the votes of both BJP and Congress. Naresh Meena has come into the main contest after getting the support of Arvind Kejriwal’s Aam Aadmi Party and MP Hanuman Beniwal’s Rashtriya Loktantrik Party.

Ultimately local issues dominate. Development and farmers’ problems are big factors. However, both Congress and BJP are calling development as their issue. Here both BJP and Congress are facing mutual tussle and conflict. To show unity, BJP jointly organized a road show between current CM Bhajanlal Sharma and former CM Vasundhara Raje.

Former CM Ashok Gehlot will try to woo voters

On the other hand, from the Congress side, former CM Ashok Gehlot will try to woo Anta voters on the last day of campaigning. Here all the three candidates are making big claims of their victory. BJP candidate Morpal Suman says that he is a local while the other big faces contesting against him are outsiders. It is claimed that they will get benefit from it.

Why did the need for by-election arise?

Let us tell you that Anta assembly seat of Rajasthan came into existence in the year 2008. The fifth assembly election is being held on this seat. BJP’s Kanwarlal Meena was elected MLA from here in the last elections of 2023. His assembly membership was canceled due to his conviction in a criminal case nearly two decades old and serving a sentence of more than two years.

Finally, voting will be held on November 11 amid tight security arrangements. Now it remains to be seen who will emerge victorious when the election results are declared on November 14. The voters here are vocal. He is expressing his views openly, but despite this, no wave is visible in anyone’s favor yet. Let us tell you that there are a total of two lakh twenty eight thousand voters in Anta assembly seat. Of these, 116783 are male and 111477 are female and four voters are of third gender.
