The effect of monsoon in Rajasthan is still going on. Schools will remain closed today in 9 districts including the capital Jaipur. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of children and possible problems of heavy rains. This closure of schools has given some relief to students and parents.

Where was the alert released?

According to the Meteorological Department, the orange alert of rain is going on in Jalore, Sirohi and Udaipur districts today. This means that there is a possibility of heavy rains in these districts and the local administration is cautious. At the same time, there are yellow alert in many other districts, light to moderate rain may occur here.

Possibility to continue till tomorrow

Meteorologists say that the monsoon in the state is likely to be active till tomorrow i.e. August 27. This means that the rainy season can continue in the next one or two days. In such a situation, it is necessary for the public to be vigilant and especially one should avoid going to waterlogged areas.

Flood is being reduced

However, it is a matter of relief that in most parts of the state, the situation is gradually becoming normal. The impact of floods in many districts including Sawai Madhopur, Bundi, Kota and Bada is decreasing rapidly. Due to which the local people have got great relief. The administration has also taken steps regarding relief and rescue operations. The work of transporting people to safe places is going on.

Advice to people to be vigilant

The Meteorological Department has appealed to the general public not to ignore the alert. Avoid moving in areas with heavy rain and keep children safe at home besides school. Helpline numbers have been provided by the administration for any emergency, which can be called immediately if needed.
