South superstar Rajinikanth is celebrating his 75th birthday today. On this special occasion, not only all the fans but also all the celebs from Bollywood to South are wishing him all the best. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Rajinikanth on his birthday by tweeting. Amidst all this, Rajinikanth celebrated his birthday on the sets of his upcoming mega film ‘Jailor 2’. Pictures of Rajinikanth’s birthday party are now going viral on social media.
Rajinikanth ‘Jailer 2′ on the set of celebrated birthday
The cast and crew of the film surprised this veteran actor with a cake, which made the whole atmosphere pleasant. Sun Pictures has shared two pictures of Rajinikanth from the sets of Jailer 2 on its Twitter handle. In the pictures, he is seen cutting the cake with the entire team. The post along with the pictures read, “Some special moments from the sets of Jailer 2, celebrating our superstar’s birthday!”
All the celebs are congratulating Rajinikanth
Earlier, Kamal Haasan had shared a picture with Rajinikanth. The two are seen twinning in black and wrote, “75 years of a wonderful life. 50 years of cinema. Happy birthday, my friend Rajinikanth.”
Dhanush also wished the veteran actor and his ex-father-in-law a happy birthday on his social media handle. The Tere Ishq Mein actor had written in the caption of his post, “Happy Birthday Thalaiva.”

Rajinikanth’s latest upcoming movies
Rajinikanth is going to be seen in the action comedy film ‘Jailor 2’. This film is the sequel of the film ‘Jailor’ released in 2023. In this film, Rajinikanth will again play the main character of the first film ‘Jailor 2’. S in ‘Jailor 2’ J. Surya, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu and Mirna will also be seen in important roles. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 12, 2026.
The tentative title of Rajinikanth’s another upcoming film is ‘Thalaivar 173’, which is scheduled to release in 2027. Produced under Kamal Haasan’s banner, the film was earlier announced with director Sundar C, but he backed out due to his busy schedule. There are rumors of Sai Pallavi and Kathir also being a part of the film, however, the makers have not made any official announcement yet.
