Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao was recently seen at the Boleti Khidkiyaan Short Film Festival held in Mumbai. Fans were worried after seeing his new look. There was discussion on social media about the change in his hair and physical look. People raised questions about his health and many fans expressed concern whether he was okay.
Ujjwal Nikam gains weight for biopic
Rajkumar later revealed that his new look was for his next project Ujjwal Nikam biopic. He told that he had to gain about 9-10 kg of weight for this role. He told that the shooting of the film has been completed and now he has started preparing for Sourav Ganguly biopic. For which he will now have to lose weight.

On February 16, Rajkumar reacted to the rumors spread among fans on Instagram. He told that his look was completely done for the role of the film. He wrote, ‘My existence is through my art. The shooting of Nikam was completed and yes it included my physical transformation which I love to do. I don’t rely on prosthetics as long as I can achieve the look by working hard myself. In Nikam, I gained weight, looked older and also thinned my hair. My hair stylist didn’t like it but I did it anyway.

Rajkumar further said, ‘I had to gain about 9-10 kg for Nikam. For this I ate two pizzas, lots of sweets, my favorite Aloo Paratha and Biryani. No glamor or prosthetics have been used. The result of this hard work will be clearly visible in the film. Now this is the transition phase and I am getting ready for the role of Ganguly by reducing these extra kilos. This is necessary for the biopic of our own grandfather.
