Bollywood actor Sunny Deol’s film ‘Jatt’ won a lot of hearts among the audience. This film also earned huge money at the box office. Jaat was directed by Gopichand Malineni. But now Gopichand Malineni has been replaced in the second part. Now ‘Jaat 2’ will be directed by Rajkumar Santoshi who is already making Sunny Deol’s Lahore 1947. Rajkumar Santoshi has also taken a fee worth crores for directing ‘Jaat 2’.
Bollywood Hungama has quoted sources as saying that ‘Jaat 2’ production houses People’s Media Factory and Mythri have signed Rajkumar Santoshi. The report reads- ‘Since director Gopichand Maneni is busy with other commitments, he has chosen Rajkumar Santoshi to direct this action-packed entertainer. The producers and Sunny Deol are confident that Santoshi’s inclusion in the Jat world will further increase the success of the film.
Rajkumar Santoshi got huge fee for ‘Jaat 2’
The makers of ‘Jaat’ are very excited to convert this action film into a franchise. The report further reads- ‘Rajkumar Santoshi has been given a huge amount of Rs 15 crore for directing the sequel of Jatt and this is his biggest salary till date. The paperwork is expected to be completed in a month. The shooting of ‘Jaat 2’ may start in the second half of 2026. At present, no information has been revealed regarding the release date of the film.

Let us tell you that Randeep Hooda was seen in the lead role with Sunny Deol in ‘Jatt’. Vineet Kumar Singh, Saiyami Kher, Regina Cassandra and Jagapati Babu were also seen in important roles in the film. This film, released in 2025, collected Rs 104.36 crore at the Indian box office. Whereas ‘Jaat’ had earned Rs 118.36 crore worldwide.
