Now the court has fixed the date of next hearing as 5th February. The complainant requested for issuance of non-bailable warrant.

This case has been filed by BJP leader and advocate Inder Mohan Singh Honey. Advocate Ripu Daman Singh said that the court had ordered on December 26 that Salman Khan should appear in person on January 20, but despite the order, he did not come. The complainant party told the court that in a similar case, on January 15, Jaipur Consumer Commission has also issued a bailable warrant against Salman Khan.

It was also said in the court that law is supreme in the country. No person, even if he is a big film star, is above the law. The advocate has demanded that if Salman Khan does not appear in the next hearing on February 5, then a non-bailable arrest warrant should be issued against him. The court has fixed the next hearing of the case on February 5. Besides, the court has also given instructions to present the receipt of the signatures previously sent for forensic examination on the next date.

What is the matter?

The entire controversy is related to the advertisement of ‘Rajshree Pan Masala’, in which it has been claimed to have ‘cardamom with saffron’. The complainant raised the question in the court that when the price of saffron in the market is around Rs 4 lakh per kg, then how can saffron be available in a sachet of only Rs 5. It is alleged that the youth are being misled through such misleading advertisements and products like Pan Masala are being served through glamour.

Advocate Indramohan Singh also alleged that due to celebrity endorsement, the youth gets attracted towards such products which can cause serious diseases like cancer.
