While giving a statement on this matter, Rakesh Tikait has said that Shankaracharya should be given a bath because if the saint farmer gets angry then the country will suffer heavily. Let us tell you that the Ganga bathing controversy of Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati in the Magh Mela of Prayagraj came to light after the confrontation between the administration and him on the day of Mauni Amavasya. On this day, lakhs of devotees come to take bath at Sangam bank but the administration said that due to crowd control and security, there is no special VIP protocol or separate permission on that day and everyone will have to follow the rules. The administration claims that Avimukteshwaranand and about 200 of his supporters went to the bathing place in a palanquin without prior permission and broke the barricades, causing problems for crowd management.
