Ram Navami 2026 LIVE: Lord Shri Ram was born on the ninth date of Shukla Paksha of Chaitra month in Tretayuga. According to the Panchang, Navami Tithi of Chaitra Shukla will start on March 26 at 11:46 am and will continue till March 27 at 10:07 am. Udayatithi has been recognized in most of the festivals of Hindu religion. But according to Ramayana, Lord Rama was born in the afternoon. Therefore, more emphasis is given on the midday period to celebrate Ram Navami. Therefore, the birth anniversary of Lord Ram will be celebrated on 26th March and pujas will be held on this date. However, if you want to celebrate the festival as per Udayatithi, then you can celebrate the festival of Ram Navami on 27th March also.

Ram Navami on 27 March in Ayodhya

The festival of Ram Navami is celebrated with great pomp in Ayodhya, the birth city of Shri Ram. This year Ram Navami festival will be celebrated in Ayodhya on 27 March. According to Baba Ram Keval Das Ji Maharaj, the head Mahant of Luv Kush Temple of Ayodhya, Ram Navami will be celebrated in the holy city of Ayodhya on March 27, following the rules of Udaya Tithi. Therefore, the celebration of Ram Navami will be held on March 27 at many places including Ayodhya.

Ram Navami 2026 puja auspicious time

The time for worship on Ram Navami on March 26 will be from 11:14 am to 1:41 pm. The meridian moment will be at 12.25 pm. On the other hand, if you are worshiping on 27th March, then on this day the Madhyaya Muhurta will be from 11:13 PM to 01:41 PM. The moment of noon will be at 12:27 pm.

What to do on Ram Navami day

On the day of Ram Navami, wake up early in the morning and take bath and then wear clean clothes. Clean the puja room. Decorate the idol or picture of Lord Ram. Offer flowers, fruits, sandalwood, incense sticks and offerings to Lord Ram and worship him properly, offer food and perform aarti. It is also auspicious to recite Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas on this day. On Ram Navami, Ram Darbar should be established at home and flowers and garlands should be offered.
