Famous storyteller Jagadguru Rambhadracharya has reacted sharply to AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s hijab-wearing daughter becoming the Prime Minister of the country, calling it a daydream. He stressed that if a woman becomes the Prime Minister of India, she will be a woman wearing a saree. Rambhadracharya criticized Owaisi for making such statements. He was answering questions from journalists in Jaipur, where he made this statement.

Describing the statement of AIMIM chief Owaisi as unfortunate, Rambhadracharya said that Abdul Kalam became the President, Hamid Ansari became the Vice President and what do they want? Such statements should not be made.

Rambhadracharya’s statement

Narrator Rambhadracharya, reacting to Asuddin Owaisi’s statement in Jaipur, said, “This is unfortunate. Abdul Kalam became the President. Hamid Ansari became the Vice President. What more do they want?…They are daydreaming. If a woman becomes Prime Minister in India, she will wear a saree.” Rambhadracharya often comments on political matters which sometimes become controversial. These days Rambhadracharya is on a visit to Jaipur, Rajasthan.

What did Asuddin Owaisi say?

At a rally in Solapur, Maharashtra, AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi said, “The Constitution of Pakistan clearly states that a person of only one religion can become the Prime Minister of the country. Baba Saheb’s Constitution says that any citizen of India can become the Prime Minister, Chief Minister or Mayor. My dream is that one day a daughter wearing hijab becomes the Prime Minister of this country.” This statement of Owaisi is now viral, on which many types of reactions are coming.

There is no reaction from any other political party in this matter yet, but after Rambhadracharya’s statement on Owaisi, the matter may gain momentum.
