Ramdev Baba gave tips to increase immunity in winter; Called Chyawanprash as ‘protective shield of health’

With severe cold and changing weather, the risk of diseases also increases. In such a situation, keeping the body’s immunity i.e. ‘immunity’ strong is the biggest challenge. Recently during a Facebook Live session, Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev shared important tips to maintain good health and fight diseases in winter.

Immunity is not built overnight, it is built with continuity.

Ramdev Baba explained to the audience in his special style that immunity is not something that can be achieved overnight. He compared it to ‘compound interest’. He told that just as money deposited gradually increases manifold with time, similarly when we give proper nutrition and good habits to the body for a long time, its benefits increase manifold. This discipline gives us longer life, better stamina and the power to fight diseases.

Patanjali Chyawanprash: Confluence of 51 herbs

During the session he emphasized the importance of traditional Ayurvedic medicine ‘Chyawanprash’. He told that many types of Chyawanprash are available in Patanjali Balance Centers according to different age and health related needs. Referring to a special formula, he said that it contains more than 5,000 medicinal compounds extracted from 51 herbs. These elements strengthen the body’s natural defense mechanisms and protect against fatigue and infections during winter.

Special option for diabetic patients

Often people suffering from diabetes avoid consuming Chyawanprash because it is sweet. Explaining the solution to this problem, Ramdev Baba said that now sugar-free options are also available. With this, diabetic patients can also increase their immunity without any worry and protect themselves from winter diseases.

In the end he clarified that any medicine is effective only when your lifestyle is right. He appealed to people to consider, along with traditional supplements like Chyawanprash:

  • Practice yoga daily.
  • Live a disciplined life.
  • Be careful in eating and drinking.

According to Swami Ramdev, only a combination of traditional Ayurveda and modern discipline can keep us healthy and energetic.
