There was a sharp debate across the country over the Supreme Court’s decision on stray dogs. At the same time, many celebs also expressed disappointment over the decision to close the dogs in the shelter home. But Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has supported the Supreme Court’s decision and has also given many suggestions to control stray dogs.
Randeep Hooda has called the Chief Justice of India a thank you, posting a long post on Instagram Story. He wrote- ‘It is very happy to hear that the Honorable Chief Justice has agreed to consider the decision related to stray dogs in NCR. Passing and implementing the law should be first practical and second, infrastructure and sensibility should be taken care of.

‘I love animals, but …’
Randeep Hooda said in the post- ‘Are stray dogs our collective community human responsibility? Yes. Can they become a threat? Yes. I am glad that the Supreme Court’s decision has started this widespread discussion. I love animals, but will I be able to justify it in front of a family who lost a close to a rabies or faced serious injuries? No.’

Appeal to people to adopt dogs
The actor gave some suggestions to control stray dogs further and wrote- ‘It may not be a good idea to seize the entire population of dogs. So let’s think about options as citizens. The only option is a massive and cyclical sterilization and perhaps holding aggressive flocks that have become very regional. This is a long term possible solution that will reduce the number in years. Also, adopt as many dogs as possible and become responsible for them. I know that I have done this.
