A total of 540 balls were bowled in this match, whereas the shortest match before this was played in 1962. That match between Delhi and Railways was over in 547 balls, that match was also over in 2 days.
2 bowlers took hat-trick in one innings
Assam won the toss and decided to bat first, but the bowlers of the Services team all out Assam in 17.2 overs. This was the first time in a first class cricket match that two bowlers took hat-tricks in the same innings. Assam’s innings was all out for 103 runs. Services bowler Arjun Sharma took a hat-trick in the 12th over. After this, Mohit Jangra took 3 wickets in his 3 consecutive balls, he took the first wicket on the last ball of the 15th over and then on the first and second ball of the 17th over.
