On the same day the teaser of the sequel was released, ‘Dhurandhar’ achieved the amazing milestone of more than 4 crore footfalls across India, making it one of the rarest blockbuster films in the history of Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar, released on December 5, 2025, did not have a great opening. It earned around Rs 30 crore on the first day. By the end of its seventh week in theatres, the Aditya Dhar directorial had collected a net collection of over Rs 800 crore in India, which is equivalent to a gross collection of around Rs 1,000 crore domestically.

With an average ticket price of around Rs 250, industry insiders have confirmed that the film has now crossed the 4 crore footfall mark, making it the first Bollywood film to do so in over two decades since Gadar in 2001, reports News 18.

According to the report, this film has left behind Aamir Khan’s Dangal (3.7 crores) and PK (3.5 crores), Sunny Deol’s Border (3.7 crores), Shahrukh Khan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (3.5 crores) and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (3.1 crores). It has even left behind cult films like Dev Anand’s CID and Rajkumar’s Laila Majnu.
