On the high-tech roads of Bengaluru, when women start considering themselves safe, then something decreases that shatters the trust. In Jayanagar area, a similar dreadful scene came out three days ago, which filled questions in every passerby’s eyes while walking on the road. A woman was traveling by Rapido bike. On the way, he felt that the driver was driving carelessly. When he objected to this, the driver erupted. The matter increased so much that near the footwear showroom present on the roadside, the driver started arguing with the woman and then the same thing happened that should not have happened. The video of the incident is becoming increasingly viral on the Internet.

Rapido driver slaps female passenger

The video which has spread like a fire on social media, shows that during the debate, the Rapido driver suddenly slaps the woman strongly. The slap is so tremendous that the woman falls directly on the road. Passers standing nearby keep watching the spectacle, no one seems to be helping the woman’s help at that time. It is being told that this video recorded on his mobile by a passer -by and the same video is now with the police as evidence.

Police took the video into consideration

According to the police, the woman was initially hesitant to file a complaint. Perhaps social fear, legal trouble or shock, which took away his words. But later the police explained it to him and finally he filed NCR (non-encompassing report). However, when this video went viral on social media and the case caught fire, the police themselves admitted that now she is seriously considering turning this report into FIR.

This incident is not the story of just an attack on a woman. This is the mirror of the mentality that thinks that the dignity of the woman can be trampled in public place and no one will say anything. The question is also whether the drivers working in the app based taxi companies have adequate investigation? Do companies like Rapido become accountability regarding the safety of customers?
