Fir against badshah: Rapper Badshah is always in the headlines for some reason or the other. At present, the Punjab Police has registered an FIR against him. The complaint alleges that his latest songs Velvet Flow have said objectionable things about Christianity. The case was registered in Batala city of Gurdaspur district of Punjab and there has been anger among the people, including protests.
Why FIR was registered against the emperor in Punjab?
According to police officials, an FIR was lodged against the Rapper Badshah at the Fort Lal Singh Police Station on Tuesday (April 29) following a formal complaint by the representative of Global Christian Action Committee Emanuel Christ. In his complaint, Christ alleged that the words ‘Church’ and ‘Bible’ have been used in the context of the emperor in the song of Emperor, which has hurt the feelings of the Christian community deeply.
Velvet Flow songs have been sung by Badshah
This song is sung by Badshah and he has also written its lyrics. The music of Velvet Flow is prepared by Hiten, in the video of the song, Badshah is shown traveling, exercising at the airport and in the gym.
According to a PTI report, Station House Officer (SHO) Gurvinder Singh confirmed that the case has been registered under the respective sections of the Code of Justice of India (BNS), which is related to the issue of hurting religious sentiments.
Protests against rapper Badshah in Batala
A protest was also held at Batala on Tuesday, where members of the Christian community gathered to demand accountability from the artist. The protesters accused the emperor of disrespecting a religion and his sacred symbols for commercial gains and demanded action against him.
So far, the emperor has not given any reaction if the allegations or FIRs are registered.
