Aditya Sarpotdar, director of the film ‘Thama’, is celebrating the success of the Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer film these days. This film, released on the occasion of Diwali, is getting great response from the audience.
Recently the director told how nowadays actors are demanding fixed working hours and this affects their way of working. He expressed his opinion on this issue in an interview and explained the importance of working hours.

Talking to News 18, Aditya Sarpotdar said that it is very important to have fixed working hours. He said that many times it is assumed that everyone will work 24 hours a day, which leads to physical and mental exhaustion.
According to the director, working 12-hour shifts during shooting is fine and sensible, but working more than that is not right. He also said that many times people do not even get a chance to go home between shoots, which is not right at all.

While talking about Deepika Padukone’s demand for fixed working hours, Aditya Sarpotdar said, it is important to understand the reason behind such requests. He told that actors have to maintain a particular look on camera, hence the thinking behind their demand should be paid attention to.
Aditya Sarpotdar said, “As an actor, you have to look a certain way on camera. So when Deepika raised the issue of 8-hour working limit, we should understand what is the reason for it. No one makes a demand without any reason, so it is important to understand it.” He further said that this is completely a personal choice and it is the responsibility of the director to take care of the comfort of his actors.

Giving an example, Aditya said, “When Paresh Rawal ji joined the film, his health was not well. At one time he said that the doctor had asked him to take rest. Then we told him, ‘Sir, we will finish your work in less time.’ It is our responsibility to take care of the actors.”
Aditya praised actress Rashmika
Regarding Rashmika Mandanna, the director said, “Rashmika works for 12 hours, but she never complained. Maybe she is in that phase of her career where she can do this, but this cannot be applied to everyone. I believe that if the actor and director are on the same page, then only they should work together.”
