Ration card ekyc: Big news has come about millions of families taking advantage of government ration in Uttar Pradesh. About 3.43 lakh ration card units in Lakhimpur Kheri district have not yet completed their e-KYC process, due to which their ration for the month of September has been stopped. However, the Uttar Pradesh government has once again given the last chance to such families, giving relief.

According to the Uttar Pradesh government, families who have not completed the e-KYC process can complete the e-KYC process by September 30. If even by September 30, ration card holders do not complete the e-KYC process, then the name of such people will be cut off and will not be added again. Whereas those who get e KYC will be re -released their ration from October.

88 percent of the beneficiaries completed e KYC

Every member associated with the ration card has to get separate E KYC. In such a situation, 88.2 percent ration card holders have been done in Lakhimpur Kheri district so far. At the same time, 91.44 percent of the chief’s e KYC has also been done. Despite this, about 3,43, 072 units are still out of the process. Regarding this, the officials have clearly stated that people who have not done e KYC till now should immediately go to their nearest ration shop and complete this work, so that they do not have any problem in getting ration in October. Instructions have already been issued by the Food and Logistics Department regarding E KYC that families whose E KYC is not complete will not get ration in the month of September.

Exemption given to children regarding e KYC

Apart from Lakhimpur, a warning has been issued regarding ration card holders due to non -completion of E KYC in many other districts of UP. However, children have been exempted in this warning. According to officials, children below 5 years of age have been exempted from E KYC. At the same time, all the other members will have to get the information compulsorily updated. Regarding e-KYC, the departments believe that this step has been taken to make ration distribution transparent and to exclude ineligible people.

Even by November, E KYC will be canceled

In some districts of UP, people have been warned that if e KYC is not done by November, then such ration cards will automatically be canceled and families will be permanently excluded from the list of ration distribution. Actually, village-to-village campaign is being run to make people aware in UP. Regarding this, the department clearly says that if the beneficiaries do not complete the process in time, then there will be no hearing later.
